My current favorite high end knife is the Shun Premier Grey 8 chef’s knife. From the hammered tsuchime finish to the Damascus layering on the blade, this entire knife set is a beauty to behold. The blade on the chef’s knife is quite thin compared to some of the German blades that we might be familiar with from Wusthof or Henckels, but it glides through food like a razor. If you’re looking for a knife that’s aesthetically breathtaking and functionally efficient, then this is a great line to buy into.
